Don Giovanni Armeni
Born in Locri (RC) the 29 April of 1994, originally from the Parish of “San Leonardo and San Nicola dei Canali” in Ardore (RC), after his high school studies he entered the "Pio XI" Archbishop's Seminary of Reggio Calabria in October 2014. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Sacred Theology 12 June 2020 at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy based in Reggio Calabria. He received priestly ordination in the co-cathedral Basilica of Gerace il 17 September 2020 by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Catanzaro-Squillace Mons. Vincenzo Bertolone. He currently holds the positions of Director of the diocesan Youth Ministry office and Diocesan Assistant of the Youth Sector of Catholic Action. Since April 2022 he is a member of the "Diocesan Commission for the implementation of the guidelines against all forms of mafia" and of the "Diocesan Vocations Commission". In September 2022 represented the Diocese at the "National Eucharistic Congress of Matera" as diocesan delegate. He has been parish vicar of “Santa Maria di Portosalvo” in Siderno since 18 September 2020.
